The Founders

CourseSwap was founded by Franklin Volcic and Benjamin Van Ryn, who met living next to each other in their dorm at the University of Michigan. They realized how important it was for students to have a tool that helps them navigate the complexities of college credits. Together, they decided to create CourseSwap to help students streamline their academic journeys and save money along the way.

About Us

CourseSwap is a tool that helps both high school and college students save money and stay on track with their educational goals. The platform tracks how AP and IB credits transfer to universities across Michigan, showing students how their credits fulfill general education requirements.

One of the key features of CourseSwap is its ability to show how students can use guest credits from community colleges to fulfill university requirements. This feature helps students maximize their credits and reduce the cost of a four-year degree.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make higher education more affordable and accessible by empowering students with the tools to track their credits, explore community college options, and save money. CourseSwap gives students the clarity they need to make informed decisions about their education and finances.
